West Park Care is a locally owned business and was born following a frustrating and difficult experience to organise care at home for a loved one in the Harrogate area. Researching the various different care options, with the belief that care at home was the best option, it was clear that the process of trying to organise care at home was stressful and confusing.
West Park Care was then created with a commitment to support our clients through every step of the care cycle and provide bespoke care, centred around the client. As a company, we strive for excellence and are committed to providing the highest quality of care with our friendly, professional, experienced and highly trained care experts. Consistency of care and constant communication with our clients and their family members, enables us to deliver exceptional home care services in the Harrogate and surrounding areas. All of our care staff work full time for us, and we do not use agency workers.
We firmly believe that you shouldn’t have to leave the comfort of your own home to receive excellent personal care. We are committed to only providing fully qualified and extensively trained Care professionals to ensure our high standards are always met. All of our Care Experts complete a rigorous training programme before being sent to any of our clients.
Care is personal to each person, so we tailor every care plan to the individual and ensure the plan is reviewed and modified on a regular basis to ensure the care is relevant and current for each individual. We also aim to pair our care experts with our clients to deliver the best and most consistent care.

Meet The Office Team
As Managing Director, Tom is responsible for overseeing the management team and ensuring that West Park Care is always maintaining high standards of service delivery.
Tom has a specific focus on client satisfaction and staff performance. Tom ensures that West Park Care achieves its aims and objectives to deliver excellent care to its clients by providing a clear vision to the staff team. Tom is always available and willing to discuss any aspect of the service directly.
Tom has personally felt the difficulty of organising care for a loved one and felt the process should be easier and also tailored to each individual person. Tom has a deep routed belief that people should be able to remain in their own home as long as possible and receive a high level of care and support that is tailored to them personally.
Service Development Manager
As Service Development Manager Kirsty is responsible for continually improving the quality of our care delivery and ensuring that we are fully compliant as a service.
Kirsty oversees West Park Cares’ operations to ensure our care delivery is of the highest standards and carries out regular audits on the service to ensure all quality standards are being met. Kirsty implements new policies and processes to further develop our service delivery.
Kirsty started her career in care and support at the age of 17 as a care and support worker and aged 21 she went to university and studied a BA hon’s in Social Work, qualifying as a Social Worker in 2010. Kirsty has worked with adults with a variety of different health and social care needs, including learning disability, mental health, physical disability, cognitive impairments, sensory needs and complex health in various areas.
Prior to joining West Park Care, Kirsty was a social worker for nine years and then progressed into an advisory role as a Safeguarding Officer for NYCC. Kirsty uses her in depth knowledge of safeguarding to ensure West Park Care is operating in a safe and responsive manor.
Registered Service Manager
As Service Manager, Jackie is responsible for the day to day management of the service, managing the office and care team.
Jackie is a key member of the management team ensuring that the service is both compliant and delivering the high levels of care our clients expect. Jackie plays a key role in the recruitment, induction and on-going training of the staff team and has oversight on key aspects of the service such as medication, staffing levels and compliance.
Jackie started her career in Health and Social Care in the mid 1980`s and gained a wealth of experience in supporting the health and well-being of a variety of client groups.
Jackie has achieved many certificates including her teaching qualifications and her level 5 in Leadership and Management. Prior to joining West Park Care, Jackie was a trainer in Health and Social care and for the last three years Jackie has been a Deputy Manager at a care home. Jackie has a real passion for person centred care and support, ensuring all clients are treated as individuals.
As Deputy Manager, Joanna is responsible for ensuring that the service is delivering the high levels of care expected with specific focus on client satisfaction.
Joanna has a particular focus on managing client records from initial assessments to regular reviews, updated assessments, and risk assessments and is a key member of the management team. Joanna has previously worked as a care assessor and really understands the key information that needs to be gathered during the initial assessment to put together a care plan specific to each client. Joanna has worked in various client facing roles in the health care sector gaining valuable experience in customer service and a clear understanding of delivering care to a high standard. Joanna has also worked in quality assurance roles and this understanding of the detail required to deliver excellent care is invaluable to her role as Deputy Manager. Joanna shares West Park Care’s values and vision for leading the way in providing excellent care and support to our clients.
As Care Supervisor, Kelsey focuses closely on client specific needs and the level of support required by frequently reviewing care packages and monitoring care calls.
Kelsey makes sure all client and staff paperwork is up to date and supervises staff in the field to ensure our high standards are upheld. Kelsey takes the lead on first client visits to ensure the correct care plan is in place following initial assessment. Kelsey’s passion for Health and Social care and helping people began at school. Kelsey completed her Level 2 in youth working whilst volunteering at a youth club and then went on to college to do child studies. Kelsey initially went to work at a young offender’s prison as a youth worker but realised that her passion lay in supporting elderly clients after taking a job as a carer in Wetherby. Kelsey took to care like a duck to water and within two years was promoted to Senior Carer and dedicated her spare time to completing her NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social care with a merit. Kelsey joined West Park Care with a clear passion to make a difference to our clients lives and to develop her career in the care sector.
As Care Supervisor, Michell focuses closely on client specific needs and the level of support required by frequently reviewing care packages and monitoring care calls.
Michell makes sure all client and staff paperwork is up to date and supervises staff in the field to ensure our high standards are upheld. Michell takes the lead on first client visits to ensure the correct care plan is in place following initial assessment. Michell joined us after moving to the UK from South Africa and immediately hit the ground running delivering outstanding care to our clients. Michell has a background in real estate and banking in her native South Africa but after helping care for her mother in law and helping in care homes on a weekend Michell decided a career in care was for her. Michell is currently working towards her level 3 diploma in health and social care and has a passion for high quality care and client satisfaction.
