Following her military service, she transitioned into the Oil & Gas industry in Aberdeen, starting in administration before spending a decade offshore in logistics, document control, and as a Technical Clerk.

After relocating to Stockton-on-Tees, Barbara took on the role of Emergency Call Handler with Cleveland Police, further demonstrating her ability to thrive in high-pressure environments. She moved to Harrogate shortly before the COVID-19 pandemic and held a variety of temporary positions before joining West Park Care, where she continues to apply her diverse experience and strong work ethic.
